Kära ni!

Här om dagen fick jag besök av King från Indonesien i Hallongrottan. Han och ca 40 andra asiatiska HBT-personer är just nu i Stockholm på fortbildning i HBT-frågor och human rights. Jag blev eld och lågor inför möjligheten att få förstahandsinformation från andra sidan jorden och ville veta allt om hans och andra HBT-personers politiska arbete, levnadsförhållanden och framtidsplaner i Indonesien. King hade också en massa frågor om Sverige och efter en stund insåg vi att vi borde göra detta samtal offentligt. King erbjöd sig att ta med några kurskamrater från Sri Lanka och Kina till Hallongrottan på torsdag för en ömsesidig frågestund under rubriken “Open seminar on living conditions, strategies and international cooperation”. Samtalet kommer att hållas på engelska med möjlighet till tolkning. Inträdet är gratis och det finns billigt fika.

I had a visitor in Hallongrottan the other day, King from Indonesia. He is one of about 40 asian participants of an LGBT issues/human rights training course arranged by RFSU and SIDA in Stockholm right now. I immidiately started to ask him everything about queer life, struggle and future in Indonesia and he also had a lot of questions about Sweden. We decided to turn this conversation into an open seminar in Hallongrottan on thursday 6/12 at 7.00pm. King offered to bring two class mates from China and Sri Lanka to talk about their work there, but also to invite the whole class to participate in the seminar. Hopefully this will turn into an open discussion about living conditions, identity, strategies and future international cooperation. The seminar will be held in english. Free entrence and cheap tea/coffee/cookies - welcome!
